大家知道二百多年前法國巴黎頂級餐廳的酒單中，最昂貴的紅酒是什麼嗎？其實不是Petrus，也不是DRC，當年最昂貴的紅酒，就是來自北隆河地區的Hermitage。你如果不認識Hermitage這個葡萄酒產區名稱，那真的不是它不夠有名的問題，因為Hermitage不但名氣響亮，而且已經響亮了超過一千年；在波爾多五大酒莊還完全沒有出現之前，Hermitage 的紅酒就已經非常有名了。

這支Hermitage "La Petite Chapelle"，俗稱"小小教堂"，是"La Chapelle"小教堂的二軍酒款。重點是我們的價格很神奇，比法國當地的店家還便宜！

Bright purple. Pungent aromas of ripe dark fruits, dried flowers and cola, with a peppery nuance adding lift. Fleshy and broad on entry, then tighter and livelier in the mid-palate, offering vibrant blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of sweetness on the back half. The floral quality returns on the long, incisive finish, which is framed by smooth, well-knit tannins. (JR) (3/2013)

A red that’s blended from the plots that don’t make it into La Chapelle, this is just as savory and earthy as its big brother, only less monumental. The earthy fruit lasts with a cool, smoky spice, like toasted mustard seeds (familiar to anyone who’s made an Indian curry), while the acidity keeps the wine fresh and lively. Delicious. (2/2014)

Looking at the two Hermitage releases, the 2011 La Petite Chapelle (100% Syrah aged 15 months in oak) is an approachable, seamless and sexy effort that gives up a perfumed bouquet of black raspberry, cassis, creamy licorice and assorted chocolaty nuances.
